Migrations

Three Tlingit designs combine to honor the heroic migrations of  geese.

Black chevrons  of flocks pass across the sky among the mountainous islands and waterways of the coast of Canada and Southeast Alaska. At the center , is the design for the wheel of the fiddlehead fern, which Raven used to distribute fresh water when he created the mighty Alaska rivers by which the geese nest, and feed their young.
